Bijan Mortazavi (بیژن مرتضوی) is an Iranian virtuoso violinist, musician, composer, songwriter, arranger and singer. He started his profession composing and arranging music for Iranian pop singers, and taking part in the violin within the background for singers equivalent to Moein, Hayedeh and Sattar. He launched his first album, Bijan Mortazavi: Magic of His Music and His Songs, in 1990, and it turned a best-seller amongst Persian albums that 12 months. After the discharge of his album Bijan Mortazavi 3, which featured Mortazavi’s abilities as a violinist and singer, his subsequent album, Fireplace on Ice (Instrumental), was a mixture of Persian-style violin and new-age instrumental music.
