سوژه اصلی این مستند «امید» است، یکی از جوانان این روستا که با ورود پرندگان مهاجر به این تالاب، دوربینی تهیه کرده است و از پرندگان زیبای این تالاب عکس می‌گیرد، اما در ادامه برای حفظ این تالاب با چالش هایی رو به رو می‌شود. چالش هایی مثل ورود فاضلاب صنعتی به تالاب، نداشتن حق آبه ثابت و نبودن محیط بانی و … که حیات تالاب را با خطر جدی مواجه می‌کند.
